    Clarkton Youth Carrying Life Everywhere

    Updated: Jan. 1, 2008

C.Y.C.L.E. has been busy the last couple of months. We have been bowling and to the Judgment House. On two occasions several of our youth and adults went to the Bladen Association to help pack items for Kenya.

On Dec. 4, our youth gave bags filled with fruit, nuts and candy to our J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) group. We appreciate what our senior adults do for us and our church.

C.Y.C.L.E. decided to give $300 to the bus fund, which is money we received for decorating a float for the Farm Fest parade and what we raised at the Praise Festival at White Lake.

Congratulations to Matthew Formyduval on his decision to become a Christian and a member of Clarkton First Baptist Church.

On Dec. 17, we went to Mike's Farm and enjoyed Christmas carols as we went on a hayride through a festival of lights on the farm. We enjoyed a meal at Andy's afterwards.

Our youth presented a Christmas puppet show during the Dec. 23 service.

C.Y.C.L.E. hopes everyone has a happy, healthy and blessed new year!

    KIDS ON A MISSION

    Updated: Jan. 1, 2008

Kids on a Mission enjoyed a Christmas party with pizza, chips and cookies. They made snowmen out of socks, played Christmas games, and went home with more presents to play with.

In January and February, they'll be practicing their Easter play for March.

    J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth)

    Updated: Jan. 1, 2008

Several members of the J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) Group traveled to the Odell Williamson Auditorium in Supply on Nov. 30 for a concert with Karen Peck, New River, The Kingsmen, Adoration, and Gold City. We had dinner before the concert and enjoyed a full night of worship.

The J.O.Y. Group also celebrated Christmas with a catered, candlelit dinner at the church on Dec. 4. About 40 people enjoyed a time of fun, food, and fellowship. There were door prizes, a Christian comedian, and, of course, the Christmas story. Many thanks to the youth group, C.Y.C.L.E., for the special bags of fruit and candy given for each of our senior adults. Thanks also to Kaylyn Thompson for all she did to make our dinner a success! Lisa Thompson and Kim Pittman also thank the J.O.Y. Group for our gifts. We love each of you.

We will kick off the New Year with a trip to the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte. Please watch the bulletin for details.

If you have never attended any of the J.O.Y. events, now is a great time to get involved. Happy New Year!

From the Benevolence Committee: Thank you to all who supported our Christmas drive for Christmas boxes and baskets. We think it was a real success and enjoyed sharing our love with everyone.
